Release Hindraf 5

Perak Gerakan Wanita: Release Hindraf 5
By CHAN LI LEEN

IPOH: Perak Gerakan Wanita has called on the Government to release leaders of the Hindu Rights Action Force (Hindraf) from detention under the Internal Security Act (ISA).

The call to release M. Manoharan, P. Uthayakumar, V. Ganabatirau, K. Vasantha Kumar and R. Kenghadaran, detained since last Dec 13, were among the resolutions passed during the state Gerakan Youth and Wanita annual delegates conference on Sunday.

Both Youth and Wanita wings passed their six and 12-point resolutions, mostly concerning education, national issues, corruption and the present economic scenario.

Wanita further drew attention to the problem of lack of Chinese national type schoolteachers and asked the Education Ministry to re-evaluate its hiring process so that qualified ones were not turned away.

The Ministry was also urged to be fair in its distribution of funds to government-aided schools to speed up their construction and development.

The wing also urged the Government to give a free hand to the Judiciary and the Anti-Corruption Agency to investigate government agencies without fear or favour in order to restore the people's trust and faith.

It said the Government should also pay more attention to the rising corruption within its agencies and to take stern action against those involved.

The Youth wing asked that the party's constitution be reviewed to allow for the post of deputy chief to be created at the branch, division and state leve

MCA, PPP, MIC and Gerakan need to be proactive and have courage to voice the people concern. Not all is well with PR government. Look what they have done for the last 5 months. MB and his team of EXCO visit Land Office to have study tour. Kick out those who don't work. It is not only happen in land Office and the norms is the whole Perak machinery is not moving toward a vibrant state. Regret both side not doing much for the people. Busy politicking and killing each other. The people suffer in the end.

The new government is trying all sort of ways which seem very constructive, but don't forget, BN people already try them out previously. If they are able to do it then we congratulate them and salute them. Other wise, let the people know their approach is not relevant. Please do remember that the main problem now is attitude, not the system. Anyway, you BN guys should support the truth and the actions which contribute to a brighter future. Stop parking around and do something constructive. DAP fellows also need to forget about their previous role as opposition, act like a govenment now.

What have Pakatan Rakyat government really doing their work? Busy digging previous government mistakes. Still talking like opposition. Not much difference between BN and PR. Time have been given. Condition in our Ipoh parks and playground is getting dirty. Dangerous branches and bushes growing very tall in our housing garden in Ipoh.

PR is good at No Action Talk Only. Busy dining and busy politicking all night long. Are they serious going down to the ground? What the purpose of wakil rakyat or people representative? Are they really care about our welfare? What alternative have been done for the transportation system in Ipoh?

Wake up, Perakian. We need to have proactive people representative and not half past six Exco member scolding at previous government. Show us how good you are to improve our qualities of life. Is the cyber cafe helping the school children?
Education should be Malaysians first priorities. What alternative programmes is there for mission school and vernacular school in this PR government?

Reading newspaper about our PR hero trying out to dish goodies and claiming credit for what he have done for the rakyat in Perak. Good job if it really benefit the rakyat.

We must not forget that Perak is still lacking in term of providing jobs, attracting investors, keeping our environment clean, affordable hawkers food, healthy night life, enforcement of vice and etc.

We need more vibrant and dynamic
PR councillors and not pushing away
people taht call their handphone. Go to the ground and clean up the drains and lallang in Taman Boon Bak, Taman Tai Lee and Taman On.
We need a better qualities of life
